about

This is a different kind of album than what you are probably use to. It was very important to me to not touch the original sound file as much as possible. This is not an album that you will pump in your car, but rather, listen to from start to end and come out with a somewhat better understanding of who I am.

This was recorded in the St Andrews church of Rossland BC over a period of 3 hours. This was quite literally me playing my guitar (and piano at one point) and singing these songs. I wanted to instead of touching up each song to make it sound like I was playing in your living room, I did very little in the way of sound editing to make it seem like you were actually in the church. Leaving in each creak of the floorboards to capture the moment.

This isn't the cleanest sounding album by any means. The shuffling of feet and the moving of tripods were kept in. But this is the most honest CD I could put out. I really hope you enjoy it.

The Acknowledgements:
I would first off like to thank my mom, who has supported me so much with pretty much anything I do, if it were not for her I would not be here. Secondly I would like to thank Kaylee B. for inspiring many of the songs on the album. The Vlogbrothers for sparking such a great community that this could be released to, but more specifically John G. for teaching me through his videos and books to think of people complexly. The rest of my family, who through all of the ups and downs, were able to keep me grounded and humble. Special thanks to Alan Lastufka and Travis Bower for giving such great advice and helping film respectively. S.F, B.A, C.S, Z.A, A.K, C.B, G.D, B.D, K.T, P.G, A.G, J.D, D.G
